Requirements for Opening a Neema Account
To successfully open a new Neema account, you must meet the following requirements:
Age limit: You must be at least 18 years old.
Phone number: You must have an active Israeli mobile phone number (starting with 05 or +972) to receive SMS messages. You cannot open a Neema account without an Israeli phone number.
Identification document: You must have a physical, original copy of your passport or an Israeli ID with an electronic chip. The document must not be expired, broken, or damaged. I some cases you are required to have an additional document for identification.
Step 1: Downloading the App and Registering Your Phone Number
To begin your registration and register your phone number, follow these steps:
Download the Neema app to your mobile device and tap Create new account.
Note: If you need to change the language or contact support, tap the globe icon in the top right corner of the screen.
Enter your active Israeli mobile phone number.
Check the mandatory boxes to agree to the terms and conditions, then tap Sign Up.
Enter the 4-digit One Time Password (OTP) sent to your phone via SMS. Do not share this 4-digit code with anyone.
Note: If 15 seconds have passed and you have not received the code, you can tap to request the code via WhatsApp, provided your phone number is linked to a WhatsApp account.
Step 2: Setting Up Security and Referral Codes
To secure your new Neema account and claim any referral bonuses, follow these steps:
Create a secure password by following the requirements displayed on the screen.
Allow the Neema app to use Face ID or fingerprint login if your device supports it.
Add an option to log in with your fingerprint if your device supports it.
Enter your email address. You can check the box to agree to marketing materials, or simply tap Next or Skip.
Enter a referral code if a friend invited you to Neema. Applying the code here ensures both you and your friend receive a bonus. If you do not have a referral code, tap No.
Step 3: Providing Citizenship, Address, and Tax Details
To comply with financial regulations, provide your citizenship and residential details by following these steps:
Choose your citizenship from the list. If you don't see your country, press other.
Answer whether you hold additional citizenship in the USA or another country. Please select your additional citizenship in accordance with your actual legal status.
Select what you would like to do with your Neema account. You can choose multiple options, such as: send money abroad, get a Mastercard, receive your salary, get a SIM card, convert money, Neema to Neema transfers, repay a loan, or business activity.
Note: If you select 'Get a Mastercard', the app will ask you to provide a delivery address in a later step
Enter your residential address, including the street, city, and house number. If your exact address is not available in the app's dropdown list, choose the closest available option and contact Neema support immediately to update it with your actual address.
State whether you have tax residency in any country outside of Israel. If you do, select the country and enter your Tax Identification Number (TIN). If you have multiple tax residencies, tap Add another to include them.
Step 4: Scanning Your Documents and Taking a Selfie
To verify your identity, you must scan your documents and take a selfie by following these steps:
Grant the Neema app permission to access your device's camera in your phone settings.
Prepare your original physical passport or Israeli ID. Do not use black-and-white copies, scanned files, or photos of a computer/phone screen.
Scan your identification document. Ensure the picture is clear, well-lit, colored, and that all details are visible. Do not cover any part of the document with your fingers. If using an Israeli ID, you must scan both the front and the back of the card. If the photo is blurry, tap Retake.
Take a selfie to verify your identity. Remove any glasses or face masks, and ensure you are in a well-lit area where your facial features are clearly visible.
Position your face within the frame on the screen. Follow the instructions on the screen to move closer to the camera or change your position. When the frame turns green, hold your phone completely still for up to 10 seconds while the app scans your face.

Step 5: Providing Employment and Financial Information
To finalize your financial profile, provide your employment and funding information by following these steps:
Upload a second identification document (this cannot be your primary passport or ID). You can upload a photo from your gallery or use the camera to take a new picture.
Select your occupational status: Employee, Self-employed, or Unemployed. If you are an employee, select your industry from the dropdown list and enter the name of your company.Select your reason for being in the country (working, living, or studying).
Select your expected monthly activity, which is the estimated amount of money you expect to receive in your Neema account each month.
Select the primary source of funds you will deposit into your Neema account: Salary, Gift, Loan, Savings, Business payments, or Compensation.
Answer whether you or a family member are a Politically Exposed Person (PEP). If yes, specify the position.A "politically exposed person" or "PEP" is an individual who holds a prominent public position or function.
For example:
Head of state or government official
Government ministers or equivalent
politicians
Ambassadors
Mayors
Judges
High-ranking military / police officers
Spouses and children of the people above
Close business partners and connections of
the people above
Answer whether you have ever been refused by financial institutions due to money laundering or terrorism reasons. If yes, please describe the situation in your own words.
Step 6: Signing Declarations
To complete your Neema account application, follow these steps:
Specify who the account is for by selecting Only for me or There are other beneficiaries.
Draw your signature in the designated white box on the screen.
Check the box to confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to 'The Beneficiary and Card Declarations'. You must notify Neema if there are any changes to this status in the future.
Step 7: Specifying Card Order Details
Note: This step will only appear during registration if you selected 'Get a Mastercard' in Step 3.
To finalize your Mastercard order, you must provide your intended usage and delivery details.
Follow these steps to order your Mastercard:
Select your intended card use: Choose whether the card is for personal use or commercial/business use, depending on your current situation.
Select your expected incoming deposits: Choose the option that best matches the amount of incoming funds you expect to receive.
Select the main use of your card: Choose a primary use case, such as shopping, international money transfers, or cash withdrawals.
Select your preferred delivery method: Choose whether you want the card delivered to your residential address or if you prefer to pick it up yourself from one of our partner locations in Israel.
Provide your delivery address: If you selected delivery, enter your city, street, and house number. If your exact address is not in the dropdown list, select an alternative address and immediately contact Neema support to update it to your correct address.
Confirm your address: Review and confirm the delivery details you provided.
After you confirm your address, your Neema account application and Mastercard order are successfully submitted and under review.
The review process is usually fast, but sometimes it may take more than 24 hours for the compliance team to fully review your documents.

Opening a Neema account is only possible with an Israeli phone number.
