In order to activate your Neema card, your account must meet the following identification requirements based on your status:
Israeli Citizens: The Neema card can only be activated if you have a valid, active, non-expired Israeli ID card saved in your Neema account. It must be the most recently issued ID card.
Non-Israeli Citizens: The Neema card can only be activated if your passport saved in your Neema account is current and not expired.
Before Activating Your Neema Card
You must wait for a delivery notification before attempting activation:
Within 24 hours of card delivery (excluding Saturdays and official holidays), you will receive an SMS text message to your registered mobile number confirming that your Neema card has been delivered.
Only after receiving this SMS confirmation can you log into the Neema app to activate your Neema card.
Step-by-Step Instructions to Activate Your Neema Card
Follow these multi-step instructions to activate your physical Neema card once you have received your SMS delivery notification:
Open the Neema app on your mobile device.
Tap Card on the main menu.
Tap Activate Card.
Locate the 3 to 6-digit CID number located at the bottom right corner of the back of your physical Neema card. This is NOT CVV or CVC code.
Enter the CID number into the field provided on the card activation screen in the Neema app.
Submit the number to complete the Neema card activation.
🔍How to locate Your CID Number on the Neema card
The CID (Card Identification) number is a 3 to 6-digit code printed on the physical Neema card. To find your CID number:
Turn your physical Neema card over to the back side.
Find a long row of digits(which is not CVC or CVV). The row is separated by a a space. Find the second part of this long row that starts right after the space (3 to 6 digit code).
Enter these digits exactly as printed on the card into the Neema app activation screen.
After Activating Your Neema Card
You must wait 24 hours after activating your Neema card for mobile number synchronization with the credit card company before making online purchases or linking to Apple Pay or Google Pay.
