🟥🌙⭐Sending money to Turkey

This article explains the current rules and requirements for sending an international transfer to Turkey through Neema, including sending for cash pickup (PayPorter network) and sending to a bank account

Important notes and restrictions

  • Transfers to Turkey are available to both cash pickup locations on the PayPorter network and to major banks.

  • The pickup code will be sent by SMS to the number given in the contact details of the receiver and is also visible inside the Neema app through in the transfer confirmation.

    The code has one letter and 7 numbers (8 digits total, example: 62X85000).


Sending to bank accounts

  • Required information of the beneficiary:

    • Beneficiary full name.

    • Receiver bank account details.

  • Transaction currency: TRY(Turkish Lira)


Sending for cash pickup

  • Required information of the beneficiary:

    • Beneficiary full name.

    • Eligible identification document:

      • Turkish ID Card

      • Passport

      • Temporary protection identity document

      • Residence Permit Document

      • ID Cards of foreign countries (only for countries that Turkey requires ID Cards for entry, provided they also show an Entry & Exit Document).

  • First-time receiver steps:

    • Receiver must present valid identification at the PayPorter pickup location.

    • If using an ID card of a foreign country, the receiver must provide an Entry & Exit Document alongside the ID card.

  • Transaction limit:

    • Maximum of $10,000 per day from PayPorter.

    • Up to $20,000 per month from Neema.

  • Transaction currency: USD (Dollars)

  • Other restrictions for sending:

    • If receivers do not provide an Entry & Exit Document with their foreign ID card, it is not possible for them to receive their transfer.
