First things first: a Neema Mastercard® is completely optional! You don’t need one to enjoy being a Neema customer. However, if you want the ultimate convenience of tapping your Neema balance to shop in stores, buy online worldwide, or withdraw cash, it’s a fantastic add-on.
Understanding the Neema Mastercard
Prepaid vs. Credit: The Neema Mastercard is issued by the company Max specifically for Neema. It is a prepaid card, not a credit card. This means you can only spend the money you have actively loaded onto the card balance. You are not borrowing money from a bank.
Currency: The Neema Mastercard balance is held exclusively in Israeli Shekels (NIS). The card only supports NIS.
Card Type: Previously, Neema issued Visa cards. Now, all newly issued Neema cards are Mastercards. The fees, limits, and features of the card have not changed.
Name Embossing: To have your name displayed on your Neema Mastercard, you are welcome to visit one of 2 Neema branches and have it embossed free of charge.
Here is a quick, transparent breakdown of how the card works, what it costs, and how to get the most out of it!
💳We believe in zero surprises. Here is a clear look at the Neema card fees:
One-Time Card Activation Fee: Just 40 NIS to get started. Bonus: This includes FREE home or work delivery right to your door!
Monthly Fee: A flat 18 NIS/month, automatically billed from your Neema account balance on the 1st of each month.
ATM Cash Withdrawal fee: Neema charges a 0.3% fee per ATM cash withdrawal transaction. This specific ATM fee is deducted from your account on the 1st day of the following month.
Note: Some independent third-party ATMs may charge their own small operator fee.Topping up your Neema Mastercard balance via an ATM is not possible. You can only use ATMs to withdraw cash.
International Purchases: Shopping abroad or online in foreign currency? Foreign transactions incur a standard 3% conversion fee (processed by MAX within 3 business days).
Quick Example: If you spend $100 (approx. 300 NIS), your currency fee is just 9 NIS.
📊 Neema Card Limits (Reset on the 15th of Every Month)
Because the Neema Mastercard is a prepaid card, the card limits are strictly fixed and cannot be changed or increased.
