👥 Face-to-Face identification in Neema

Use this article to understand why in-person identification is requested, how to locate an authorized location, complete the visual verification process, and restore full access to your Neema account.

At certain stages of using the Neema app (such as during initial registration or at a later point), the Neema app may request that you complete an in-person identification check. In-person (face-to-face) identification requires you to physically visit an official Neema branch or partner deposit location with your valid physical identification document.

If the Neema app requests in-person identification, certain Neema app functions and features will be temporarily restricted until the identification is completed. Once you complete the in-person identification process, full access to the Neema app will be restored immediately. In-person identification is requested only once per account.

Why In-Person Verification Is Necessary

In-person verification is a legal requirement under financial regulations and serves as an essential security measure for your account.

In-person verification protects your account in the following ways:

  • Confirms account ownership: Ensures that the Neema account is owned and operated by the rightful document holder.

  • Prevents fraud: Stops unauthorized individuals or fraudulent entities from accessing your funds or performing financial transactions in your name.

  • Secures your funds: Verifies identity to maintain full regulatory compliance across all Neema financial services.

Requirements for In-Person Identification

When visiting a Neema branch or deposit location to complete your in-person identification, you must bring the following items:

  • Valid physical photo ID: Your original, unexpired physical Passport or Israeli ID card (Teudat Zehut).

  • Mobile device: Your smartphone with the Neema app installed and logged into your Neema account.

How to Complete In-Person Identification

Follow these steps to complete your in-person identification and unblock your Neema account:

  1. Locate a Neema branch or authorized deposit location using the Neema app.

  2. Visit the authorized location during business hours with your original physical photo ID.

  3. Present your physical ID to the teller or location agent and request visual identification for your Neema account.

  4. Allow the agent to perform the visual check and register the identification in the Neema system.

  5. Open your Neema app to confirm that the identification status is updated and full app functionality is restored.
