Yes, you can send money using your USD balance on Neema. However, you cannot manually select which currency balance is used for a transaction.
Neema automatically selects the best balance for your transaction based on a built-in logic designed to minimize currency conversion fees and get you the best rates.
How Neema selects your payment balance
Neema supports multi-currency accounts, allowing you to hold balances in ILS (Israeli New Shekel), USD (US Dollar), EUR (Euro), and GBP (British Pound).
When you initiate a transfer, Neema automatically checks your available balances and selects the funding source based on the destination country's primary sending currency.
Currency order priority example
If you hold multiple balances, Neema uses the primary sending currency for the destination country first. If that balance is insufficient, it moves to the next preferred currency in order.
For a transfer to the Philippines (PHP), the currency usage order is:
USD (Primary sending currency for the Philippines)
ILS (Secondary backup)
EUR (Tertiary backup)
Example: If your account contains $100 USD, 100 ILS, and 100 EUR, and you send money to the Philippines, Neema will automatically draw from your USD balance first.
What you need to know before sending
No manual currency switching: You do not need to convert your funds manually before sending. The app handles balance routing automatically.
Insufficient primary balance: If your primary sending currency balance (e.g., USD for the Philippines) does not cover the full transfer amount, Neema draws from your secondary currency balances in predetermined order.
