Important notes and restrictions
Transfer limits:
Per transaction limit: Up to $15,000
Daily / Monthly limit: Up to $30,000
Monthly transaction count limit: Up to 30 transactions per month
Annual limit (rolling 12 months): Up to $200,000
Supported banks: Starting June 1, 2025, international transfers to Thailand can only be received by the following 8 supported banks:
Bangkok Bank
Kasikornbank
Krungthai Bank
Siam Commercial Bank (SCB)
Citibank
CIMB Bank
Kiatnakin Phatra Bank
Government Savings Bank (GSB)
(Note: Government Savings Bank and Citibank will join later in 2025)
If the beneficiary's bank is not on this list, they will not be able to receive funds from abroad. It is recommended to transfer funds to one of the supported banks first and then perform an internal transfer within Thailand.
Sending to bank accounts
Required information of the beneficiary:
Beneficiary bank account details (must belong to one of the supported banks from the list)
Fee:
Up to $100: $2.99
$100.01 to $2,500: $3.99
$2,500.01 to $5,000: $6.99
More than $5,000: $9.99
Transaction limit:
Per transaction limit: $15,000
Daily / Monthly limit: $30,000
Monthly transaction count limit: 30 transactions
Annual limit (12 months): $200,000
Transfer time: Direct transfer; may take up to 1 business day for funds to credit to the beneficiary's Thai bank account.
Transaction currency: THB (Thai Baht)
Other restrictions for sending: Only supported banks can receive international transfers.
