Neema allows you to authorize another person to make a cash deposit into your Neema account on your behalf. To ensure legal compliance and account security, every third-party deposit generates an official Power of Attorney document within the Neema app
How to authorize a friend to deposit cash in the Neema App
To create a deposit authorization and generate the required Power of Attorney document, follow these sequential steps:
Open the Neema app on your mobile device.
Select Deposit on the main menu screen.
Tap Cash Deposit by Friend.
Select your friend's account status:
If your friend has a Neema account: Enter your friend's phone number or Neema ID. The friend can choose any location from the deposit locations list.
If your friend does NOT have a Neema account: Select one of the three designated branch locations (Tel-Aviv Central Bus Station branch, Haifa branch, or Amro Mobile Center partner location), tap Next, and enter your friend's details:
First and last name
Israeli phone number
Passport number or Israeli ID number
Citizenship
Full residential address
Enter the exact amount of cash you want your friend to deposit.
Provide your electronic signature in the designated white signature box on the screen to generate the Power of Attorney authorization document.
Tap Submit to finalize the request.
What happens on the friend's side?
Once submitted, the Neema app sends an automated text message (SMS) directly to your friend. This text message contains the authorization code, details of the selected deposit location, deposit amount, and a link to the Power of Attorney document. Your friend must show this message and document to the teller at the deposit location.
Important conditions for third-party cash deposits include:
Identification requirement: The person making the deposit must present a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a passport or Israeli ID) at the deposit location.
Monthly limit: You can receive up to 30,000 ILS (Israeli New Shekels) per month through the Friend Deposit feature.
Location restriction: All cash deposits must be made within Israel. Neema does not support international transfers or cash deposits sent from outside Israel.
