Neema offers transfers to all major banks in Colombia using a real time system. This means that when you click send inside your Neema app the transfer request is immediately made in the Colombian banking system.
Fee:
The transfer fee is 1% with a minimum of $3 and it is possible to transfer from your Neema account up to $10.000 in one day and up to $20.000 in one month.
REMEMBER to always send only your salary. If your friends also want to transfer it is important for them to open their own Neema account.
It is important to note that transfers to Colombia require a beneficiary verification.
According to the beneficiary bank this verification process can either be done by bancolombia or banco davivienda. The process can take between 1 and 3 business days. It should not be necessary every time a transfer is made. Only once. After the identification is done transfers will be done on the same business day.
It is important therefore to make sure the beneficiary is reachable by phone and that, if necessary, he or she can go to a bank branch for physical identification.
🔴 It is not recommended to send money to your own account in Colombia.
However, if you have already done so, please make sure to provide the Colombian phone number of another person who is located in Colombia and has power of attorney for your Colombian account. This person can complete the beneficiary verification process on your behalf. Otherwise it is possible only if you have the app and follow the following steps:
1) After the sender pays the remittance
Open the Mi Bancolombia app and sign in.
Tap “Ver saldos y movimientos” → choose your account → tap the ⋮ (three dots) → “Ver detalle y movimientos”.
You’ll see the incoming credit in Movimientos.

2) If the transfer needs manual acceptance (no Abono Automático yet)
Some remittances require you to accept them once on the web.
In Sucursal Virtual Personas: Transacciones → Internacionales → Recibir plata.
Tap the ⋮ on the pending remittance → Aceptar → review details → Aceptar.
Choose the account to credit, confirm exchange rate, select the reason/purpose, and Recibir. You’ll get a success receipt; the money will then appear in your app.
