This article explains the current rules and requirements for sending an international transfer to Philippines through Neema, including sending to a wallet (GCash, Coins, GrabPay, OmniPay, PayMaya), sending to a bank account, and sending cash pickup

Important notes and restrictions

  • Single transaction limit: $8,000 maximum per transfer.

  • Monthly limit: 25 transfers or $20,000.

  • Quarterly limit: 50 transfers or $30,000.

  • Rates and fees: View all rates in the app by clicking the "Rates" button. Enter the desired amount to send or receive, and the system will calculate it for you. Enable the "Include Transfer Fees" option to include fees, and save up to 4 favorite rates in "My rates"


Sending to Digital Wallets

With Neema you can send to 5 digital wallets on Philippines:

  • GCash

  • PayMaya

  • Coins

  • GrabPay

  • OmniPay

GCash

  • Required information of the beneficiary:

    1. First and last names must match the receiver details in the mobile wallet exactly.

    2. Mobile number must match the receiver wallet number and start with +63 (country code for the Philippines).

    3. Beneficiary's mobile wallet must be enabled to receive international transfers.

    4. Select GCash (mobile wallet) and not "GCash remit outlet" when sending to a wallet.

  • First-time receiver steps:

    1. Create a new receiver in the "send" tab.

    2. If you have a GCash wallet, you can also send to yourself.

  • Transaction limit:

    • Single transaction limit: $8,000.

    • Monthly limit: 25 transfers or $20,000.

    • Quarterly limit: 50 transfers or $30,000.

    • Wallet limits on the receiving side are set by GCash.

      • Basic: PHP 10,000 wallet balance cap

      • Fully verified: PHP 100,000 wallet balance cap

      • Fully verified with linked bank account or higher tier: Up to PHP 500,000 wallet balance cap

  • Transfer time: Real-time transfer.

  • Transaction currency: PHP (Pesos).

PayMaya

  • Required information of the beneficiary:

    1. First and last names must match the receiver details in the PayMaya wallet.

    2. Mobile number must match the receiver number in the PayMaya wallet and start with +63.

  • Transaction limit:

    • Single transaction limit: $8,000.

    • Monthly limit: 25 transfers or $20,000.

    • Quarterly limit: 50 transfers or $30,000.

    • PayMaya non-upgraded account limits:

      • Can only load up to ₱50,000 per month.

      • Can only spend up to ₱50,000 per month.

      • Maximum balance limit of ₱50,000 per month.

      • Cannot send money to other PayMaya users or transfer to other banks using the PayMaya app.

      • Cannot activate/use virtual card for online transactions or withdraw money at ATMs using a physical card.

    • PayMaya upgraded account limits:

      • Can load up to ₱100,000 per month.

      • Can spend up to ₱100,000 per month.

      • Maximum balance limit of ₱100,000 per month.

      • Can send money to other PayMaya users and transfer money to other bank accounts.

      • Can activate virtual card for online transactions and withdraw money at ATMs using a physical card.

  • Transfer time: Real-time transfer.

  • Transaction currency: PHP (Pesos).

  • Other restrictions for sending: Account features and limits depend on whether the receiver's PayMaya account is upgraded or non-upgraded.

Coins

  • Transaction limit:

    • Single transaction limit: $8,000.

    • Monthly limit: 25 transfers or $20,000.

    • Coins internal limits for receiving money:

      • Email or Phone Verified: Daily limit: PHP 2,000; Monthly limit: PHP 50,000; Annual limit: PHP 50,000

      • ID and Selfie Verified: Daily limit: PHP 50,000;Monthly limit: PHP 100,000; Annual limit: PHP 500,000

      • Address Verified: Daily limit: PHP 400,000; Monthly limit: PHP 400,000; Annual limit: No limit


Sending to bank accounts

  • Required information of the beneficiary:

    1. First and last names.

    2. Receiver bank account details.

  • Transaction limit:

    • Single transaction limit: $8,000.

    • Monthly limit: 25 transfers or $20,000.

    • Quarterly limit: 50 transfers or $30,000.

  • Transfer time:

    • Real-time transfer for transfers <50,000 PHP

    • Remittances higher than >50,000 PHP follow a T+1 rule with a cutoff time based on Manila time (UTC+8):

      • Manila is 5-6 hours ahead of Israel (14:00 Manila time = 09:00 AM Israel time cutoff).

      • If submitted before 14:00 Manila time, the transfer is received on the same day (T).

      • If submitted after 14:00 Manila time, the transfer will be typically completed within two business days, excluding weekends and bank holidays.

      • Example: If a transfer higher than 50,000 PHP is sent at 14:00 Israel time, it is already 19:00 in Manila (after cutoff). The next working day becomes T, and completion will be on T+1

  • Transaction currency: PHP (Pesos), USD (Dollars).

  • Other restrictions for sending:

    • Only business days (Monday–Friday) are counted.

    • Bank holidays are excluded.


Sending for cash pickup

  • Required information of the beneficiary:

    • Beneficiary full name matching the beneficiary's ID

    • Pickup code (begins with 33TF...) - please find the pickup code in the Neema app->Profile->Recent transactions->Transfer confirmation

  • Transaction limit:

    • Single transaction limit: $8,000.

    • Monthly limit: 25 transfers or $20,000.

    • Quarterly limit: 50 transfers or $30,000.

  • Transfer time: Real-time cash pickup.

  • Transaction currency: PHP (Pesos).

  • Cash Pickup locations: Cash can be picked up at leading cash pickup outlets such as M.Lhuillier, Cebuana Lhuillier, BDO Cash Pick up, Palawan Pawnshop, LBC, GCash remit outlets, and Bayad Center.
