Guide to Recognizing Scams and Phishing

1. What Are Scams and Phishing?

Scams and phishing are fraudulent attempts to steal your personal, financial, or login information by pretending to be a trusted entity, like NEEMA SUPPORT. These scams can occur via email, phone calls, text messages, or fake websites.

2. Common Warning Signs of Scams

Urgency & Pressure – Scammers often create a sense of urgency, asking you to act immediately.
Unexpected Requests – Requests for personal information, passwords, or financial details via email, text, or call.
Suspicious Links & Attachments – Fake websites or attachments that look real but are designed to steal your data.
Unusual Payment Requests – Scammers often ask for payments via gift cards, wire transfers, or peer to peer transfers.
Poor Grammar & Spelling – Official messages from banks and institutions are well-written.
Fake Awards & Prizes – Messages claiming you won a lottery, contest, or giveaway that you never entered, often asking you to pay a fee to "claim" your winnings.

3. How to Protect Yourself

🔒 Verify Before Acting – Contact NEEMA directly through official channels if you receive suspicious requests.
🔒 Check URLs & Emails – Fraudulent websites often have small spelling differences (e.g., “neema-secure.com” instead of “getneema.com”).
🔒 Avoid Clicking Suspicious Links – Instead, open your app directly and use only the chat inside your app.
🔒 Never Share Personal Information – NEEMA will never ask for passwords or PIN/OTPs via phone, email, or text.

4. What to Do If You Suspect a Scam

🚨 Do Not Respond – Ignore and delete suspicious emails, messages, or calls.
🚨 Report the Scam – Contact NEEMA and report the fraud attempt.
🚨 Monitor Your Accounts – Regularly check for unauthorized transactions and report them immediately.

Stay alert, stay secure! If in doubt, always verify with NEEMA before taking action.
